יצירותיה האבסטרקטיות של מיכל גולדברג נוצרות מדחף פנימי, ספונטני ומתפרץ.
על פי האמנית, נקודת התחלתן הוא בבחירת גוון הצבע וסיומן ברגע רגיש בו היא חשה כי הציור התפשט דיו ויצר תחושת מרחב קסומה, או אז מבחינתה אין מקום להוספה, חזרה או היסוס.

יצירותיה חומריות כמעט חושניות, נדיבות בעושר שכבתי וטקסטוראלי, מכילות כתמי והתזות צבע, חריטות, מעברי אור וצל לצד קווים מקבילים, מצטלבים ואינסופיים ומשיכות מכחול משוחררות המייצרות תחושת זרימה ותנועתיות במרחב הבד, כאשר המשיכות הללו לרוב נוסקות ועולות ממטה כלפי מעלה.
באחדים מציוריה מוצגת העיר האורבנית מנקודת מבט של מעוף הציפור, העיר השוקקת, בבנייניה הגבוהים, במפת כבישיה ובמספר עציה הבודדים. נופים מבניים אבסטרקטים אלו של מיכל ממוקמים בין ממשות לדמיון.

Michal Goldberg – painter, born in Israel in 1969.
Married and a mother of three, lives and creates in Yahud.

Michal Goldberg’s abstract artworks are created out of a spontaneous and erupting inner-drive.  According to the artist, they start with choosing the shade of color and end in a sensitive moment in which she feels that the painting has expanded enough and created a magical sense of space. From that point, for her, there is no more room for additions, retraction or hesitation.

Her artworks are material and almost sensual, generously rich of layers and texture, with splashes and sprays of color, etchings, alterations between light and shadow together with parallel, crossing and infinite lines and free brushstrokes which create a sense of flow and movement on the canvas’s open space and often take off upwards.

In some of her paintings, the urban city is presented from a bird's-eye view, the bustling city with its tall buildings, its road maps and few trees. These abstract structural landscapes of Michal are situated between reality and imagination.
